Chunky Cheese

Yesterday we went to Chunky Cheese, as Lyric calls it, to celebrate her fourth birthday. Her actual birthday is tomorrow. She had never been there, and I hadn't been there in at least a decade! It was actually quite fun. Jamie and her girls and grandma joined us. The kids had lots of tokens to keep them distracted for a while. Peyton and Paxton were just fine wandering around staring, or going back into their kitchen! To keep up with tradition, Jamie made the cake. Lyric chose Snow White, and that's just what she got! Thanks Grandma, Jamie, and cousins, for coming to celebrate Lyric's Birthday!

Oh Christmas Tree

Paxton is OBSESSED with the Christmas singing dolls!

I love this time of year. I love the anticipation of getting everything ready for Christmas. The day after Thanksgiving, we headed out to get a tree. I knew what kind we wanted, so it didn't take long. We got home a little late, so we decorated the next day. Of course, I forgot to water the tree for quite a while and I think I have officially ruined it! It won't drink any water, I feel so sad.
Anyways, I love the fact that Mike enjoys, and has the patience, to decorate the tree with Lyric. I love decorating the rest of the house, but for some reason, the tree isn't my thing! We did this during Paxton's nap so that the decorations stood a chance to be put up before they got broken! I just love that each year Lyric gets so much more into the whole Christmas spirit!

To Grandmother's House We Go

We were able to stop by and see my grandma for a short visit on our way home from Disneyland. I am so glad we did this. I don't get to see her too often, and I love the chances I get. Her house is exactly the way I remember as a kid, candy and all! As a kid I felt like I had to kind of sneak it, now grandma tries to send my kids home with bags full! Lyric and Paxton had a good time with her too.

Paxton telling great-gram that he wants more candy
I always make a point to take a picture of my kids and I with grandma

Paxton playing catch

Just some of her candy stash
She had one heck of a time picking him up

Kind of silly, but we pass this sign on the freeway every time we are in SoCal. I just had to snap a picture. It wasn't hard at all, considering the 3-3 1/2 hour drive took 7. We were going turtle speed, at most!

Disneyland '08

We decided to follow last year's tradition and go to Disneyland the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Last year we had good luck, so we did it again. I love it because it's not middle of the summer hot, and this time I didn't even need a sweater. I really like being able to see it decorated for Christmas.
The day went really well, considering Paxton slept for about 25 minutes the whole day!

First ride, waiting for Peter Pan, they had "technical difficulties," but we waited it out, we knew the line wouldn't get any shorter as the day went on!

Waiting in line can be so hard to do!

Mike took them on the carousel, Lyric claims this was her favorite ride! I could have paid a dollar to have her ride the carousel at the mall, just kidding :)

Last year Lyric was a little too short for Splash Mountain, so he was very excited when she met the height requirements this year! Don't worry, she went very willingly and actually liked it!

It was actually quite hard to tell if Paxton was enjoying himself, this was the expression on his face just about the whole day! Just a little laid back!
Desperate times call for desperate measures, even if it means an enormous stick of cotton candy covering your kids from head to toe! As yummy as it was, this was not consumed in one sitting!

The reason to be at Disneyland, the Princesses! Lyric promised she wouldn't be shy this time. She was completely enamoured by them! Paxton also had to sneak in on a picture.

Lyric was really trying hard on these two things at Toon Town!

Autopia, Lyric rode with Mike, and Paxton rode with me. This was probably Paxton's favorite!

Mike carried Lyric and Paxton like this most of the day, so I gave it a try, I lasted about two minutes!

Lyric insisted we go on this one. I let her go with Mike so they could spin. I went with Paxton and we just sat there! That was almost too much for me. I don't know if it's getting older or having two kids, but my body just can't take the spinning anymore!

Paxton's Mickey Mouse light saber, he loved this thing! $5, probably the cheapest item you will find at Disneyland!

Sadly, our one and only family picture. It wasn't that cold, Lyric just wanted to utilize the warm items I packed just in case it got cold!

Father & Son

Jamie took this picture of Mike and Paxton at the park yesterday.
I thought it was the cutest thing I'd ever seen! Thanks, J!

Halloween Pics

Paxton was Peter Pan, Tiffani made his hat!

Lyric was a High School Musical cheerleader. Tiffani made her hair accessories!

This picture cracks me up! Tessa is looking at Paxton like, "Dude, chill out!"

I am feeling drowned with my memory card and how many pictures it holds that I need to do posts on! I guess I find this post easy because the disc of pictures was mailed to me!
I have a lot of catching up to do, but I thought I'd at least post these. A few weeks ago, I went to Arizona to visit my best friend, Tiffani. Her sister in law's friend is a photographer, and was doing Halloween pictures. Here are some cute ones. Keep in mind, Paxton was NOT happy at all the entire time!
