Happy Birthday!!!

Today is Kristy's 18th birthday! As I sit here and type, she is having an awesome weekend at the coast with my dad and Ryan. In my mind I have Kristy stuck at like the age of 9! It is so weird to think that she is now officially an adult! It will be so weird when she leaves in August, but I am so happy for her and the decisions she has made. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRISTY :)

Hip Hip, Hooray!

This morning I had another doctor's appointment. My mom and Lyric accompanied me. I normally have no wait at all and today the whole thing lasted 1 1/2 hours! But, it was worth every minute of that wait because the induction was scheduled! One week from today, July 5, Paxton will be here! It is a bit of a surreal feeling. I have all of these weird emotions running through my head. In one week I will have two children, I will no longer be pregnant, I will no longer pee at least one time every hour, I will know what this child inside of me finally looks like, I will have an empty belly and no longer feel those movements that have just become a part of my life! I am so thrilled, but it is such a weird feeling to know that all of the anticipation and waiting will be ending! Now I only pray for a smooth labor and delivery. The doctor is guesstimating 9ish pounds, but we shall see! Maybe he'll only be like six! Thursday will be the answer day to all of my questions!!!

Happy Anniversary Part 2

Well, I tried to add to my last post, but somehow it just didn't work! Anyway, so Mike ended up coming home early from work today with Ryan. He told me to get ready so that we could go to dinner while Ryan watched Lyric for us. While I was getting ready he was in the office getting my present ready. I was pleasantly surprised by everything because I kind of thought that he had forgotten! Before we left he brought me into the office and showed me my present. He got me a digital photo frame! I was really excited because it is one of those things that I would never buy for myself, but I was glad he got it for me. He is by far the best present buyer I know. He always comes up with creative gifts that I end up loving.

We ended up eating at Olive Garden and then walked around the mall as long as my feet would allow! On our way home we got a healthy shake from Baskin Robins. For some odd reason I chose a chocolate chip cookie dough shake, disappointing :( I was so grateful that Mike planned a nice little evening for us to celebrate our anniversary!

On a side note, last week I got a pair of sunglasses. Lyric has been so obsessed everytime I put them on. So, tonight at Old Navy, I found these for $3! She was so excited to have her own pair!

Happy Anniversary!

Today Mike and I celebrate our four year wedding anniversary! I do have to admit that it slipped my mind for a tiny bit this morning :( I think my mind is overly consumed with pregnancy! Four years is not terribly long, but it is amazing to look back and see what has been accomplished in those four years- jobs, moves, college graduation, 1 and 9/10 children, and just how much better we know and understand each other! Here are some random pictures I found of us. The top one is our very first picture together that Jamie took of us from New Year's Eve 2002.

Summer Dance

Today Lyric started her summer dance class. She is doing the toddler tap/ballet class again. I thought it would be fun for her to have a little something to keep her entertained over the summer until dance starts again in the fall. Her teacher is one that both of Jamie's girls have had. She is so dedicated to the kids and does such a fabulous job. Lyric was absolutely thrilled when I told her she had dance today! I had to explain that it was a new teacher with a new class and that they weren't going to be practicing the "Doggie in the Window" dance from her last class! She was a little confused, but jumped right in when we got there. There are about ten little girls in her class. I love watching how intensely she watches the teacher to make sure she is doing it just right!

This picture is of Lyric wearing what she calls her "Belle" outfit. As you can obviously tell, it is not Belle, but she likes to think so! Lately at Jamie's she'll put it on and say she is Belle. I would never want to burst her bubble and tell her it was a $2 Halloween 50's Girl costume! She was so thrilled the other day when she discovered we had one here too!

Summer Swimming

Yesterday we went over to my mom and dad's for some swimming and yummy food. The kids sure beat the adults in their endurance levels! Jordyn and Alyson were actual fish. The water felt so good, especially being this HUGE and pregnant. We ate tri-tip and some of the biggest tastiest hot dogs ever!

Lyric's Latest

So, back in April for Jordyn's birthday, Jamie made her a cake with princess figurines on top. Lyric was absolutely obsessed with them, like any other little girl would be! Everytime she went over to Jamie's, she would scoop them all up and play with them and carry them around in a purse. Jamie finally had to pull out her second pack of the princesses because they were just so popular! I decided I needed to get her her own set. She got them in the mail a couple of days ago and is in love! She literally always carries them around in her little purse. She likes to have us "play princess" with her. As you can see, she even likes to bathe with them. I draw the line at bringing them to bed with her, because eight princesses in a purse just would not fit with the other myriad of "stuff" she sleeps with on a nightly basis!

Diaper Deals

A few nights ago I found these web coupons from Target. I am always one for a good bargain. Now Luvs are not my top favorite diaper, but I could not pass this up. Between the buy one get one free and the $3 off, I got 148 diapers for $6.99. That is .04 cents per diaper! Even Costco packs come to about .21 cents per diaper. I bought a couple of packs for Paxton. Here are the links if anyone is interested. Stock up! They do expire fairly soon.

Just scroll down and you will see the two individual Luvs coupons!

More Details, PLEASE!

Today I had an appointment. It was one of those that left me with the feeling, "Why did I even bother wasting my gas to come here?" I was expecting a little more to my appointment then to see how far the scale had gone up in the past two weeks! I am holding my head up though, because next Thursday my doctor said we would schedule the induction!

Here is a picture of me from today, I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow. I spared you all the horror of seeing my bare belly! Mike keeps telling me- You are huge! Trust me, walking around Target tonight almost felt impossible. If I wouldn't have been so embarassed I probably would have asked for one of their electric carts!

Doggie in the Window

About a week and a half ago Lyric had her first dance recital. She was in a toddler tap/ballet class this past year. She absolutely loved the class! They did their recital routine to "Doggie in the Window." She did such a good job and even did one of her famous bows at the end of the show! She was so excited to come sit down and wait for her cousins to take their turns!

Greetings from Within

As you can tell by my ticker, I am due next month with our second. I like to think that I'll be induced a week early, therefore when I see that ticker I like to take a week off of it! At 36 1/2 weeks he was measuring 7lb 13oz. We shall see if he will break the weight record for the grandchildren. Here is a recent ultrasound of his cute little face!

Climbing on Board!

Well, with much help from Jamie, I have finally decided to start a blog. I thought now would be a good time since our little family is about to expand! I am going to play catch up and post about a few recent happenings.
