Helping

Every Wednesday I get to help in Kylee's class. It's only for 30 minutes. There whole school day is only 3 hours so there's not time for much!

Dance

On Wednesdays, we all head to dance and then I leave with Paxton and Kylee to take him to football while Lyric finishes dancing. Then we head back to get her and Mike goes straight to football when he's done teaching. 

There's a comfy couch for them to hang out on and veg out for a bit. 

Zoo

The kids had Monday off. We decided to head to the zoo for the first time here. It was so nice because all of the other school districts had school, so there was hardly anyone there.

We were there for three hours and didn't even see half of the zoo. We ended up getting a membership so we could go back whenever we'd like. 

Paxton was Mr. Question Asker and did such an awesome job helping us all learn!

Football

Packy had his first official game. They won, 16-6. He played the whole game and did awesome! He scored a safety, if that's the correct terminology. He's one the Wichita Cowboys. 

Journal

I went down to Lyric's room and found her writing in her journal. She had practiced her clarinet and then decided to sit and write. She was listening to some piano music while doing it. She's a self motivated kid!!

Clarinet

You can see the concerted effort it takes to get some noise out of this thing! She's doing a great job and so eager to learn how it all works!

Chips

Since Kylee doesn't have lunch at school, she doesn't get to pack a bag of chips like the other kids do. So, I'll often let her have a bag before or after school. It's one of the highlights of her day!

Worth it?

When you're limiting calories, are 20 of these worth 190 calories? Sure they are. 

Dance

Thursday's Lyric has ballet and jazz. 

Football

Kylee put on Paxton's football gear. She couldn't believe how heavy it was to wear! Heavy, and smelly :)

Park

Yesterday we went to Chick fil a for lunch and then to the little play area by our house. We only lasted about thirty minutes since it was almost 100 and humid out. 

Physical

This is a REALLY scary picture of myself. Turns out I'm not so good at a moving selfie. I've been thoroughly enjoying my walks, trying to run some of it, that I take. My goal is to do it daily, so that if I miss once or twice, it's not a big deal! 

Locusts and crickets are my walking buddies that often scare me along the way. 

Dinner

Lyric wanted to make dinner for one of her faith in God goals. She choose chili and cornbread. She did a magnificent job!!

Halloween

Kylee wants to be a witch for Halloween. I was going to be all domestic and make a costume, but couldn't pass up Costco's $15 costumes. I brought these two home and she chose the black and purple one on the left. The other one had sleeves that would've driven her crazy. 

Out Back

  The kids enjoy going out back. Paxton's love is soccer. Unfortunately, the ball often ends up in the jungle over the fence. 

School Supplies

Whew. They sure ask for a lot of stuff!
