Saturday

Today was such a nice day and the kids were able to hang out outside. We couldn't find the sidewalk chalk, so I made some sidewalk paint for them. Kept them entertained for a while! Then, to convince Kylee to take a tub, I made her some bathtub paint. She still acted like a complete spazz when it came to hair washing. I think she'll need counseling to get over whatever phobia she has with that.

Yum

Kylee and I made pumpkin cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting. I've been wanting to make them for a while. A test of patience is having little hands helping me cook. It's good for me. 

Chick

Kylee had to have her picture taken in front of the "baby" cow today. 

Brittney Spears?

For some strange reason she reminds of Britney Spears in one of her first music videos. I think it's the tie and pigtails, which has been her favorite hairstyle recently.  

Picasso

Kylee said she drew "all the people. " I love the stick figures at this age. 

Earlier today she kept asking me to help her draw a key. I was confused and she was getting frustrated. I said, a key like mommy drives with? And that's when she finally got me to understand she meant a letter K for her name! The three more legible ones are me helping her, then she attempted some on her own. 

Hmmm....

I keep craving this hairstyle, but am not sure I have the guts!!

Fall Festival

This evening the elementary school had a fall festival. Lyric was invited to a friends birthday celebration, so she didn't come with us. 

Style

Part Halloween costume, part clothes for the day, playing two horns that I need to hide.

These tutus were such a fun idea, in theory, haha. Sometimes the money saved isn't worth the sanity lost :) Lyric is in love and that's all that matters!

Basketball

This evening Packy had basketball "tryouts". All the kids make it, they just wanted to see ability. He couldn't have been more excited!!

Silly Boy

This morning Packy asked if he could tuck in his shirt. I told him it looked good left out. He came home from school with it tucked in. I love that he has his own sense of style. The kid is in desperate need of a haircut!

When my trash bag gets full in the car, I pull over to the alley after school and Pax loves running it down. There's no recycling here, so it's just a big dumpster for everything. He always had me count to see how long it takes him. 

School

This is our daily occurrence. Lyric picks Paxton up from his teacher, and then they run to the car. Kind of nice because then I don't have to lug me and Kylee out of the car. It looks like they're both crying, but they were just being silly. 

Fun...

Tomorrow's gonna be a fun day. 10:20pm and this girl has not lost an ounce of steam. After trying for three hours to get her to sleep, I've kind of given up!

Primary Program

Today the kids had their primary program. Both did great! I tried getting a better picture of the three of them, but Kylee quickly ran in the opposite direction in protest. 

First Game

Mike and the kids have been wanting to go to a high school game. Finally, tonight it all worked out for them to be able to go. The weather cooled off quite a bit. It was 45 when they left, which isn't horrible, but the wind here can be so relentless and make it feel ten times colder! The pictures go in order from at home and cozy, to drinking hot chocolate trying to keep warm!!

She had to pretend to ride this dirty thing since I didn't have any quarters for it. 

Ritual

A blender drink with popcorn or toast is an almost every day after school tradition. 

Deal

Today I got this same thing for $12. Walmart had a price glitch online and they had to honor it. I love a good deal! The kids will love this for Christmas. 

Bonding Time

Fun way to spend the evening. At least it's at a gas station and we can get treats if we need :/ Dumb cars provide the wrong kind of excitement.
